Recognized on October 13th, World Thrombosis Day (WTD) focuses attention on the often overlooked and misunderstood disease of thrombosis. With hundreds of educational events in countries around the world, WTD and its partners place a global spotlight on thrombosis as an urgent and growing health problem. World Thrombosis Day takes place every year on the 13th of October, the birthday of Rudolf Virchow who was a pioneer in the pathophysiology of thrombosis. This year, Thrombosis Canada is proud to offer three activities in recognition of this important day:
