On behalf of Dr Sudeep Shivakumar and the Fellowship & Training Committee, we are pleased to announce that the 2016-2017 Thrombosis Canada CanVECTOR Research Fellowship has been awarded to Dr. Mihir Bhatt, MD, FRCPC, BHSc.
Dr. Bhatt currently h
olds a clinical scholar position in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He also completed his pediatrics residency and a three year fellowship at McMaster University. Dr. Bhatt is currently working on his thesis which is a pilot feasibility and safety multicenter trial of administering weight adjusted FiXEd dose of low molecular weight heparin (Enoxaparin) to neonates with Thrombosis (FiXET Study). Dr. Bhatt will join us at the Thrombosis Canada AGM in Vancouver on November 12th to present his research to the membership.
