Thrombosis Canada and CanVECTOR are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2017 – 2018 CanVECTOR/Thrombosis Canada Fellowship for Knowledge Translation/Clinical Outcomes Research. The purpose of the CanVECTOR Thrombosis Canada Fellowship is to provide financial support for highly qualified, promising new clinician-investigators to allow them to pursue further training in thromboembolism at a Canadian center, focusing on knowledge translation and/or clinical outcomes research. The fellowship is awarded for one year, from July 1st, 2017 to June 30th, 2018, provided in two installments. The deadline to submit completed application packages is April 3rd, 2017.
Vascular disease represents the single greatest risk to the health of Canadians and a huge economic burden to the health care budget. Thrombosis Canada and The Canadian Venous Thromboembolism Clinical Trials and Outcomes Research (CanVECTOR) Network are jointly working to educate Canadians on prevention and treatment of thrombotic vascular disease. The Fellowship is one of several ways in which the organizations are working to advance knowledge and research on thrombotic vascular disease.
